It's been nearly three months, which seems both like a really long and a really short time. In my personal life, I flew from Korea to Boise, drove from Boise to San Antonio, got engaged, got hired by the U.S. Census, got laid off by the U.S. Census, finished my teacher certification, and spent a great deal of time creating wedding announcements, licking envelopes, and shopping for sofas.
In game design, I have been plugging away. I ran a playtest in March, which I need to write up and analyze. Other than that, I've still had no feedback. The whole time I was in Korea writing the first draft of the Open Beta I wished I had access to more resources than just the Internet. Now that I'm a resident of the U.S., I got a library card and did a massive research phase. I'm in the process of revising weapon damages, Praxis powers and difficulties, and fleshing the whole text out with flavor text and examples. I've also been writing an art bible, though I no longer know when I'll have a chance to use it.
